2003 was a pretty good year for the Montreal annual tournament, both in terms of highly qualified visitors from the USA, and from the local club’s success. It was also one of the biggest productions (which is still very minimal) of the Pro Kicker and Aki Québec crew, directed by Yves Archambault. At least, the spectators were provided with bleachers to sit on, a professionnal DJ and a drink counter.

The M&M’s win

The team of Martin Graton and Martin Côté, known as the M&M’s in the Footbag community caused a bit of a surprise by beating the favorites of the Open Doubles. It was a well deserved win, based on systematic play contruction whereas their opponents, Manu Bouchard and Andy Ronald showed less tightness in their game.

Bouchard raked another title

Manu Bouchard managed to win the singles title over Andy Ronald. It was his 8th singles win in a row in Montreal, a winning streak that began in 1997.
