2010 World Footbag Championships Freestyle – NET
After two years in Europe (2008 Prague, 2009 Berlin) the World Footbag Championships were back to the US, precisely in Oakland, California. The venue for this tournament was directly inside the hotel, after a couple of days in a park nearby to play the preliminary matches. The huge conference areas at the Marriott in Oakland, CA were fitted with carpet and sport court and banners for sponsors. (Pro Kicker was there). It was very convenient for the players who stayed at the hotel to go back and forth, get rest quickly in the rooms, and compete in the freestyle arena while enjoying the pool and the nice Californian weather.

Freestyle Finals
The 2010 Freestyle Finals were exciting. Milan Benda, from Czech Republic, managed to get the 1st place in the coveted singles routines event, taking Vasek Klouda’s title from 2009. As well, David Clavens showed a new strength to the USA’s freestyle scene by taking 2nd in routines, but 1st in Shred 30, and the circle contest.
On the women’s side, Tina Aeberli continued to dominate the scene with a win in routines + the Shred 30 and Women circle contest.
