2022 marked the return of foreigners to the Akisphere as the travel restrictions were lifted during the summer.
That opened the door to a new chapter of the Memphis Footworks vs Aki Quebec rivalry.
François Depatie-Pelletier continued on his winning streak from 2020 and 2021 in doubles, teaming this time with Manu Bouchard. François and Manu defeated Memphis Footworks’ greats Walt Houston and Ben Alston in the finals.
Nonetheless, Ben and Walt wouldn’t go home without a victory. Ben won singles over Zack Bourdeau-Pouplier whereas Walt teamed up with Marilyn Demuy to grab the mixed doubles title.
