2026 Akisphere – Results – Videos

As all of the Montreal Footbag Net players made the difficult decision to skip this years’ World Championships, the Akisphere became even more important to keep the competition level up for Aki Quebec.

Corbin Steele scores a first title – Open Singles

Corbin is well known in Montreal for being the king of mini net. He can now brag about making it all the way to the singles title at the Akisphere. He and Zack Bourdeau-Pouplier offered a nice match to the spectators present at Lalancette Park. For Zack it was a second final, he’s knocking at the door.

Marilyn, the queen of Mixed grabs another win with Zack

Zack didn’t have to wait for long to engrave his name in Akisphere’s history. Marilyn and Zack had a perfect record in the prelims, beating all 4 other teams to advance to the finals. The other finalists coming out of the Pool of 5 were Geneviève Bousquet and Corbin Steele.
Unfortunately, Geneviève couldn’t attend as she got sick that day. The tournament concluded with a mixed exhibition where Léa Lespérance replace Gen. Marilyn and Zack concluded the tournament undefeated by taking control over that match.

Frank the tank and Manu, the undisputed champions

Finally, the grand winners of the 2026 Akisphere were, again, François Depatie-Pelletier and Manu Bouchard. The two seasoned veterans were simply too strong for the challengers Zack Bourdeau-Pouplier and Corbin Steele. The match offered some incredible plays though, and I can’t wait to start editing this match’s footage.
